In close protection, appearance matters. A visible vest changes how the principal and everyone around them are perceived, and it marks the officer as a target.

The VEP LITE is worn directly on the body, under the shirt. Hook-and-loop closures and elastic straps keep it tight and flat. Everything on top stays the same: shirt, jacket, dress code.

White or
beige

White disappears under white shirts. Beige is the least visible under light and coloured shirts, because it is close to skin tone and does not show through.

Plainly statedNIJ IIIA is a protection level against handgun ammunition. The VEP LITE does not protect against rifle ammunition and only protects the area it covers.
